Description :

From the back of the painting:

"The Chicago Water Tower. Symbol of the resilience of the human spirit, it holds a special place in the hearts of Chicago ones. When the smoke cleared after the raging Chicago fire of 1871, this Gothic Tower stood as sentinel over miles of rubble. It inspired the miraculous rebirth of the city around it, stronger than anyone could imagine. Now it’s the gleaming star of the city that nothing can keep down. Students eat lunch and solve the problems of the world on the water tower lawn. Shoppers in Michigan Avenue traffic bustle by. And on quiet Sunday mornings like this one, a handsome cab waits for the days first customers. That’s the spirit which Dave Riebe has captured in “Chicago”. One of his Quiet Places watercolors."
Measures 17.5”x31.5” Perfect for a narrow wall.
