The Victrola VV-X, or "Victrola the Tenth," was a popular phonograph model produced by the Victor Talking Machine Company between 1910 and 1921. It was initially introduced as a tabletop model but later evolved into an open-legged and finally a fully enclosed floor model

  • Operation:
    • The Victrola VV-X operates mechanically, driven by a spring wound by a crank.
    • To play a record, you crank the machine, place a 78 RPM record on the platter, insert a needle into the reproducer, and gently lower the tone arm onto the record.
    • Volume can be adjusted by opening or closing the tone doors.
    • Records are stored in the bottom cabinet, not in the tone door slats.
