Antique Jacobean Style Carved Oak Court Cabinet

Antique Jacobean style carved oak court cabinet, also frequently described as a sideboard, buffet, or credenza.

This piece features intricate hand-carved floral and fan motifs, which are characteristic of Renaissance Revivaland Tudor-influenced furniture. 

Most similar examples date from the late 19th century to the early 20th century (circa 1890s–1940s).

Made from quartersawn oak, known for its strength and distinct grain patterns.

Features carved bulbous pillars supporting a crown molded cornice or shelf.

Composed of three carved drawers positioned above a lower cupboard area with double doors.

The heavy relief carvings often include rosettes, fan-shaped friezes.

At our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee may be charged. A 15% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers that provide a current Re-sellers Permit. We make every effort to describe lot items as accurately as possible.
