Description :
Antique Royal Vienna Art Pottery Double Handle Vase The circular vignette depicts a rural harvest landscape with two peasant women gathering wheat, a common romanticized pastoral theme during the Victorian and Edwardian periods. The vase showcases heavy gold-gilt accentuation on the scrolling handles, a beaded/toothed gold border framing the image, and an blended multi-tone base and neck fading between green, yellow, and salmon pink. Empire English Pottery with number 6911 on the bottom.
Antique Edwardian-era double-handled pottery vase produced in the classic Royal Vienna Art Pottery style. It features a distinctive cobalt blue ground-accented by an organic, colorful Art Nouveau gradient rim, ornate gilded handles, and a central transfer-printed scenic panel.
These molded-handle vases were heavily popularized in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by English potteries. A prominent producer of this style was A.G. Harley Jones(operating from the Empire Works in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, England around 1907–1910).
Very vibrant colors. Displayed in a kitchen.
