In Navajo symbolism, arrows frequently represent the movement of the sun, lightning bolts, or protective forces (such as the Monster Slayer Twins)

Lightning & Mountains: The stepped, geometric lines radiating out from the center echo traditional lightning bolt representations, while the four corners framing the design conventionally signify the four sacred peaks bordering the Navajo Nation
