Description :
Vintage metal Miller-Peerless Model #105 pump-type hand fire extinguisher (Classification: 2-A). It is a pump-type water/antifreeze hand fire extinguisher rated 2-A for ordinary combustibles like trash, wood, and paper. The label specifies mixing 10 lbs of strained, pulverized calcium chloride per 2 gallons of water in non-freezing or freezing locations respectively, though plain water should be used if freezing is not a concern. It strictly prohibits use on live electrical equipment or liquid/grease fires. 7.5” x 19” Vintage 5-gallon General Quick Aid Fire Guard Safety Phlare Pump anti-freeze water-type fire extinguisher, manufactured by The General Detroit Corp. and The General Pacific Corp. during the mid-20th century. Holds 5 gallons of liquid, designed to be charged with an anti-freeze mixture (using AC-42 anti-freeze charge in water) for operation via a manual hand pump. Explicitly labeled "NOT FOR ELECTRICAL FIRES"because the water-based stream conducts electricity. Produced by The General Detroit Corp. (Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.) and The General Pacific Corp. (Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.). If full payment is not received before the pick-up date and time, the items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked. Pick-up address will be e-mailed and texted at 5am the morning of your scheduled pick up day. All items not picked up during the designated times will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. At our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee may be charged. A 15% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers that provide a current Washington Re-seller's Permit. We make every effort to describe lot items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw.
