Description :
Vintage U.S. Navy Command Memorabilia Lot – (3) Senior Officer Snapback Caps & (1) Heavy Mil-Art USS Nimitz Wardroom Mug Premium collection of authentic, vintage United States Navy command memorabilia, highlighted by a rare officer's mess mug and three classic command hats. This lot is a fantastic find for military history buffs, naval veterans, or collectors of high-quality vintage militaria. First is a highly collectible, vintage USS Nimitz (CVN-68) "The Ultimate" heavy ceramic diner-style watch-standing mug, proudly manufactured by the renowned Mil-Art China Co. of Chelmsford, MA. This extra-thick, heavy-weight vitreous ceramic cup features a crisp, double-sided USS Nimitz five-star carrier crest and a stunning, vibrant gold-leaf accent stripe running down the handle—denoting use in an Officer or Chief Petty Officer wardroom mess. The bottom maker's mark is exceptionally clean, and the mug shows no signs of chips, cracks, or glaze crazing. Accompanying the mug are three vintage, navy blue snapback command caps. Each hat features high-relief yellow/gold embroidery and the iconic golden oak leaf "scrambled eggs" embellishment on the visors, traditionally worn by senior officers (Commanders and Captains). The hats include: • USS Guam (LPH-9): A commemorative variant celebrating the amphibious assault ship’s 25th Anniversary (1965–1990). • USS Nimitz (CVN-68): A classic command cap for the historic lead ship of the Nimitz-class aircraft carriers. • USNS Mercy (T-AH-19): A scarcer command hat representing the famed Military Sealift Command hospital ship, displaying its hull silhouette inside a distinct gold shield emblem. All items are in excellent vintage condition. The Mil-Art mug is pristine with highly intact gold leaf on the handle. The three snapback caps feature clean embroidery, rigid visors, and fully functional snap closures Count: 4 items
