Description :
Traditional Nepalese Kukri Knife, Companion Knives & Scabbards The dark wood handle combined with the brass lion head pommel strongly suggests this is an "Indian Tourist" or "Souvenir" Kukri, likely produced in Dehradun, India Also spelled "khukuri", a distinctively curved knife famously associated with the Gurkha warriors of Nepal and the British Army The Main Blade: Features the characteristic inwardly curved profile used historically for both combat and as a versatile utility tool for chopping wood or clearing brush The Kaudi (Notch): The small notch near the handle on the blunt edge of the blade is a traditional design element. It helps divert blood or sap away from the handle and symbolizes a cow's hoof or a symbol of Shiva The Leather Sheath (Scabbard): A traditional leather-covered wooden scabbard used to carry the weapon safely The Companion Knives: The two tiny accessory knives shown at the top are traditionally housed in small pockets at the back of the scabbard Karda: The small, sharp knife used for fine cutting tasks or skinning - Chakmak: The blunt, hardened steel tool used either for sharpening the main blade or striking against flint to create sparks for a fire - Includes an additional larger scabbard and companion knives (the main knife for the larger scabbard not included) See pics for condition Knife: 9.25"L x 1.25"W Knife Blade: 6.25"L Small Scabbard: 7.25"L Large Scabbard: 10.25"L
