Description :
Vintage BUX L2 Magnetic Drill Press Stand w/ Black & Decker 644 3/4" Standard Drill Heavy-duty piece of classic American industrial history: a vintage BUX Model L2 Magnetic Drill Press Stand paired perfectly with a legendary Black & Decker 3/4" Standard Drill (Catalog No. 644, Type F). Manufactured by Buck Mfg. Co. in 1955-1957 out of Los Gatos, California, the rugged BUX electromagnetic base draws 60 Watts and provides an incredibly strong hold on flat steel and iron surfaces. Mounted to its smooth rack-and-pinion slide is a powerhouse Black & Decker 115V, 10-Amp cast-aluminum drill, built in Towson, Maryland in 1955-1959. This massive 3/4" chuck model runs at a high-torque 375 RPM and features a forward/reverse mechanical toggle alongside its classic spade D-handle grip. Both identification plates remain crisp, entirely legible, and securely riveted to the housings. This robust, mid-century rig is an exceptional find for vintage tool collectors, blacksmiths, or hot-rod fabricators looking for unyielding, old-school reliability. Very heavy! See pics for condition (some cracking on the outside of electrical cable) 23"T x 27"W x 8"D Count: 1 item
