Description :
Vintage Japanese Export Cobalt Blue and Gilded Twin-Handled Porcelain Vase, mid-20th Century Beautiful vintage Japanese export porcelain vase, decorated in an ornate Satsuma/Nippon style. The vase features a rich, deep cobalt blue ground heavily accented with hand-painted gold detailing, stylized floral motifs, and a central circular medallion showcasing a vibrant bouquet of roses and chrysanthemums. Details & Features: • Style: Japanese Export / Nippon / Satsuma style • Material: Hand-painted porcelain • Color Palette: Cobalt blue, bright gold gilding, multi-color floral medallion (pinks, yellows, blues) • Markings: The underside retains hand-painted factory inventory numbers "960" and "476" in black ink, overlaid onto a faint, red square factory backstamp. Condition Report: The vase is structurally sound with no chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. However, it shows significant vintage character with heavy gilt wear and rubbing on the handles and shoulders, where the gold leaf has thinned to reveal the blue glaze underneath. This wear is consistent with age and frequent handling over the decades. See pics for condition 8"T x 9"W Count: 1 item
